Title: I Never Loved A Man
Author:
katherine_b
Rating: G
Summary: The Doctor has a confession to make.
Word Count: 125 words
Characters: Donna and the Doctor
A/N: This is a fill-in scene between Living On The Edge and Stop Messin' Around. It was requested by
shining_moment as part of my current Timestamp meme. Clare asked for “…the moment we missed in between Livin' on the Edge and Stop Messin' Around… yup, his declaration of love :) (because the nasty thing knew I didn’t actually want to write it!).” Hope this satisfies!
“I have to tell you something, Donna. Nothing really important or anything. Tiny, in fact. Well, it's important to me. But I can't keep it to myself, so I suppose I'm hoping, if I tell you I love you amongst a whole lot of other things, you won't slap me, or hate me or anything. That said, I was hoping I'd feel better now I've got the words out, and I don't. Weird. I thought I would. Still, maybe it’ll happen later. Maybe at some point you'll realise what I said, and you won't hate me for the kind-of pathetic way I'm telling you, while you're all distracted like that. You might even discover you don't hate me, and…
“Doctor?”
“Yes?”
“I love you, too.”
